Vickie is a seasoned PR communication specialist with more than 20 years senior level comms experience working with some of the UK’s biggest food and drink brands. She has been on both sides of the fence by working in a range of industry-leading PR and advertising agencies as well as seven years as Head of Food & BWS PR in-house at Asda.
She founded North PR in 2018 as she saw a food and drink skills-gap in the PR industry which was letting down brands. They were paying for fancy communications campaigns that just didn’t deliver, from PR professionals who didn’t understand the sector.
She is on a mission to celebrate great food and drink stories from exciting brands that are making a real difference in the buzzing food sector.

Danielle has more than 15 years’ PR experience with a particular focus on the retail and lifestyle sectors. She is fully versed in both consumer and B2B communications. Her skill set includes press office management, influencer outreach, campaign planning, event management and content writing.
Danielle led the reintroduction of the La Redoute, brand to the UK media, launched Morrisons ‘Store of the Future’ concept and Iceland’s ‘Power of Frozen’ campaign.
She is known for successfully delivering communications that bolster customer awareness and lock down loyalty while changing the conversation around brand positioning and supporting the brands in achieving business
With 14 years PR experience and a specialism in food & drink, Sarah is a veteran at using her expertise to gain excellent results for our clients. Highly skilled at creative campaign and event planning, she also has a great black book of lifestyle and food & drink journalists to land that all important coverage. Sarah has worked with an array of clients including Reese’s, Beyond Meat, Cambridge Distillery, National BBQ Week and Budvar.
Shirley Kumar is an experienced journalist and communications specialist with over 20 years working within the retail, hospitality and food and drink sectors.
WSET qualified, she is the former News Editor for Harpers Wine & Spirit magazine and Editor of Eatnorth.co.uk, a consumer publication championing food and drink across the North UK. She has a little black book of media contacts and brings a wealth of food and drink knowledge to the North PR team.
