Aqua Pura is a natural mineral water brand sourced from deep within the Cumbrian Eden Valley
The brand launched a fun new summer ad campaign called So Northern which ran digitally and in physical sites across London and Manchester. The aim of the campaign was to drive awareness of the brand over summer, differentiate it from all the other bottled water brands, focus on its Northern provenance and use humour to make people smile.
The client asked us to PR the new ad campaign which we jumped at!
We developed a comms strategy which celebrated Aqua Pura’s Northern attributes, and the so-called north-south divide, in a fun and humorous way. We commissioned a national survey that found that northerners were seen as the friendliest and politest people in the UK compared to Londoners who weren’t quite so friendly…
We brought this to life by delivering some Northern charm to London in the guise of Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist and mimic comedian Kevin Finn. Kevin roamed London telling funny jokes and delivering some cheeky Northern banter making commuters giggle.
This resulted in some brilliant content which had huge engagement across the brands social channels supported with a raft of national news stories in the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Yahoo news and the MEN.
