Nidhoggr Mead

Honey mead is one of the biggest new alcoholic drinks trends. (Well, as new as a drink can be that’s been around for 9000 years!) We have the absolute pleasure of supporting Viking drinks entrepreneur Peter Taylor champion his delicious honey mead range, Nidhoggr Mead Co.

Nidhoggr Mead Co is a York-based drinks brand which produces a range of authentically crafted alcoholic honey meads in seven flavours. It is inspired by Viking culture when the ‘drink of the gods’, a fermented honey drink, reigned supreme. The craft meadery only uses local and sustainably harvested Yorkshire honey for its drinks.

Nidhoggr Mead Co launched in 2020 and has since grown to become the UK’s largest 100% authentic honey mead brand crafting in excess of 100,000 bottles a year from its purpose-built meadery in York. The team of 15 craft the honey mead using locally and sustainably harvested Yorkshire honey and natural flavours. 

We supported Peter’s appearance on Dragons’ Den where he pitched his Viking-inspired Yorkshire honey mead drinks range to the dragons. We have since launched his range and new flavours to national consumer and regional media as well as profiling Peter in trade and business titles. In the space of four months, we secured more than 110 pieces of coverage reaching over 19m people resulting in a ROI of 184%.
